Our late mother bought Fieldview when it was newly built in 2002, having looked for a house that was easy to maintain and close to shops and amenities. She loved the house and the community and she spent a very happy and active 20 years living there amongst good friends. We were young adults when she moved to Barley Mead, so the house has seen our families grow and holds many special memories for our children.

As a 4-bedroomed house with a separate family bathroom and plenty of communal space, it has easily accommodated our families when we have visited. Today it has a larger kitchen, a utility room and a lovely secure garden that catches the sun for much of the day, so it would make a wonderful family home. When our kids weren’t playing in the garden, they were burning off energy in the well-maintained playground a few minutes’ walk from the house or walking in the nearby National Trust woodland, having been persuaded on a dog walk.

Mum loved to walk her dog. She enjoyed the fact that the green fields and woodland were so close by, and the beautiful expanse of sky also brought her pleasure.

Mum was very active and would regularly pop to Stubbings Nursery for a wander round the gorgeous garden centre, walk to the nearby shops, or eat out at pubs and restaurants which are scattered throughout the towns and villages of Cookham Dean, Bray, Marlow and Henley…the list goes on.

Today, the house is in a prime spot for catching a fast train to London. Maidenhead train station is close by and, on the Elizabeth Line, you can be in the centre of London within 20 minutes and in Canary Warf in under an hour!

Fieldview is superbly located for living an active life in the surrounds of green spaces and fresh air, but its proximity to London and its ultrafast rail connections makes this the perfect spot for those searching for the ‘right balance’.
