As soon as we saw the house in Culley Way, we knew this house was the perfect home for raising our family. We moved here in 2017 and felt at home right away.

It’s a fantastic cul-de-sac with a real community spirit, where people look out for one another and help each other out when needed. There’s a WhatsApp group for the road where neighbours often communicate and offer support or share concerns. During the pandemic, Culley Way became a tight community with neighbours taking turns with trips to the shop or chemist or running errands, helping to protect each other and staying safe.

It is a very social street, with children often out playing in the road, either playing games or riding their bikes together, something our children have loved being a part of. We’ve met some great friends and enjoyed some great street parties and social events over the years.

Having a corner plot, we’ve been able to spend a lot of time making the most of the generously sized garden. We’ve created a lovely space, perfect for fun and games for the children, whilst also having a large patio to the side which has been invaluable for regularly entertaining and hosting social events with family and friends. Being south facing, whenever there’s any sun, we have it in the house and garden and it fills the house with warmth and brightness.

Since owning our family home, we modernised the driveway, allowing off-road parking for 3 cars which has been invaluable as the children have grown up and become drivers themselves.

In 2022, we made the decision to undertake some large interior alterations to improve the overall living space. We converted the garage to make a 5th bedroom and opened up the downstairs to create a large open plan space. We absolutely love the new kitchen and the island/breakfast bar is popular with everyone! With new double opening French doors that lead out to the large garden, it’s a perfect and welcoming area to relax and enjoy. The utility room is a godsend and was updated to match the kitchen design and give a new fresh look in there too.

The cabin provides excellent place to work from home and makes up for the conversion of the garage, and with insulated walls, electric and lights it’s a perfect multi functional place for a number of uses.

We are delighted with the alterations we have made to downstairs, its really improved our way of life and family dynamics and the changes still bring a smile to our faces each time we walk in the front door.
We will be really sad to say goodbye to this house as we have spent many happy years creating some fond family memories. We hope it brings the same enjoyment to its new owners.
