We’ve lived very happily at Tarn Hows since 2009, our family and the house have both grown a little since then. We have added the open plan kitchen-dining area as we have a busy family life and are always all in the kitchen. Our children all walked to school locally which they loved, which was always a bonus for mum no school runs, all great schools both primary and secondary all on your doorstep. All the children are now grown up and moving on in their lives but still come and go , so most evenings we have 7 cars on the drive so luckily there’s enough room for that ! This has been the best family home we could have wished for, with lots of parties( wild ones at times! ) Christmas’s and get together’s also welcoming the first of our next generation, our first grandchild has filled this house with even more fun and laughter. During lockdown, all eight of us lived together, some of us working from home but thank goodness the house lends itself to all having enough space to spread out and find some time away from each other, ( which kept insanity at bay ) even our dogs really loved lockdown, enjoying so many walks locally, you can pretty much go in any direction and find open fields and parks, even our horse lives in the next village, so great equestrian area with the best hacking and facilities nearby . Our neighbours are all so lovely, and believe it or not living opposite white Waltham airfield is the quietest place to live as no big planes coming over, just little ones on a Sunday afternoon sometimes practicing their aerobatics, which is always entertaining. We will be sad to leave Tarn Hows but our needs are different now, and we would like to think that the next owners will be as happy as we have been living here. It’s a very happy house and I think you can feel that when you walk in.
