Bramble Drive (BD) is known as a “hidden gem”: a 7-house cul-de-sac built in an old chalk pit. We have the large corner plot, which we’ve turned into an award-winning (but easily-maintainable!) garden, the site of many parties and barbecues - and a delight for children, with so much room to play and then, all the nature paths…
We’re among a very friendly bunch of neighbours, too, sharing all sorts of events and celebrations over the years - and with our own WhatsApp group keeping us all in touch and really handy for the odd emergency (“Help, I forgot to put the bins out…!”).
Being close to the M4 and M40 and Maidenhead’s rapid train service to Paddington and now beyond has been a godsend for both work and leisure. We’ve also loved being so near to open countryside, with loads of walks and doggy delights - and yet we have local shops, playgrounds, a community centre, a gym and a library not far off our doorstep.
As for 5BD, the house really speaks for itself: so spacious, with lots of room over the years for home working, huge childrens’ parties and extended Christmas gatherings. We have loved our long years here, but it’s just too big now for the two of us, so it’s time to pass it on to another family. We hope the new owners love this house just as much as we have
