We bought at Windermere Close in 2019 after renting in the city. Whilst continuing to need the convenience of commuting to London, we were excited to transition to the calm and scenic surroundings of Surrey and Royal grounds. We were also pleased to see the renovations plans of Egham town centre which has now made it a more enjoyable place to socialise.

Windermere Close stood out to us during our search due to the natural quirk it had. It’s tucked away, secure cottage set up, with unique terracotta tiles and beams. It was a selling point to see that this house offered a lot of space to be creative and an extension which is very versatile for all seasons. Coming from the city it was a huge selling point to see the size of the garden which has become our haven over the last 4 years, especially over the summertime.

We had lots of plans when moving into the house, one of those to convert the kitchen and front living room to an open plan kitchen diner, which makes it a very socialable and bright space.

We have had lots of wonderful memories in this first home but we’re ready to expand our house size and look at locations nearer to family and friends.
