Why is Binfield a good place for families to live?

Binfield is a picturesque village within close proximity to Bracknell and Wokingham.

It's been favoured as a great place for families to live for several reasons:

Family-friendly community: Binfield has a fantastic community spirit with plenty of events booked into the calendar, these can include the Easter egg hunt, the Binfield 10k and the October half term scarecrow trial.

·Great schools: Inside the village off the Foxley Fields estate we have Binfield C of E primary school which has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in October 2023. The primary school has an extremely hard working PTA called F.O.B.S all of which put an extraordinary amount of time into helping raise additional funds for the school. In 2018, Kings Academy and Kings Academy Oakwood opened, brand new schools which include primary, secondary and sixth form. Kings Academy has also been awarded ‘good’ by Ofsted in November 2022.

Green spaces: Historically Binfield was seen as the centre of Windsor Great Park so there are still some wonderful walks and outsides space literally on the doorstep. If I spoke about all of the outside space in Binfield it would take me along time so I’ll stick with my two favourites, the well known Popes Meadow, which is a quiet countryside park with pathways, a field and a pond for the wildlife. If you fancied a slightly longer family walk though, I’d recommend walking through Popes Meadow to Murrell Hill Lane and following the pathways to Bluebell Woods which is famous locally for it’s Spring time Bluebells creating the perfect photo opportunity.

Not to mention a few local dog-friendly pubs along the routes to stop in on your way past!

Access to amenities: Binfield Village has a range of amenities for your day to day essentials, including a post office, convenience shops, a pharmacy, a couple of coffee shops, library, brand new medical centre and a few takeaway options.

Convenient location: Binfield is well-connected, with easy access to major road networks such as the M4 and M3, and direct train links. to London from nearby Bracknell or Twyford. It's quick and easy to get into both Reading and London.
