Seller's Comment....
I've lived here for many years. Its a fabulous place to bring up a young family, especially now there is a primary school within easy walking distance. The garden is big enough for my vegetables and flowers but also a trampoline, climbing frame or swing. And then as they grew older my children went to the play park 100m away with friends from the street and then were able to walk or cycle to the secondary school with their friends. The house has flexed with us too. For example the converted garage started as a playroom, became my home office and is now a workroom. Through lockdown I loved getting to know the local country park. Within 10 minutes walk I could see deer, swans and cygnets, glow worms and orchids as well as picking as many blackberries as I could carry later in the year. And on a sunny evening there is nothing better than the short stroll along the river to the ford for a drink at the pub. For many years I have worked in London. Its an easy cycle to the station and then the journey to Paddington can be as short as 20 minutes. And with the new Elizabeth line its only another 20 minutes to my office in Canary Wharf. I am moving away and I'll miss the community spirit in the street and in Charvil (community orchard, boxing day walks, village fete, artists' open days etc) and the wider support in Twyford, especially the Facebook page which is great for advice on the best local plumbers, electricians and so on. I hope whoever buys my house will be as happy here as we have been.

Our seller really has summed beautifully up why this is such a great place to live! These houses really don't come up very often and the fact that our seller has been here since 1994 is testament to how much she has enjoyed living here. As you can see this home has so much space both upstairs and downstairs with some fantastic room sizes. Downstairs offers very flexible living space with the dining room, open lounge, conservatory and garage which has been converted into an additional room which could make perfect office or playroom. One of the best aspects of this house is the garden, as you can see its great size but also the frontage which gives you the ability to create more parking like some of the other homes in the road. There are lots of great features in this home and the fact that it's being sold with no chain is a huge bonus. We can't wait to take you on a tour.

Area Comment...
Mendip Close is a lovely cul de sac location just off of Chiltern Drive. There are some great green spaces just a few minutes walk away coupled with a great kids playpark, football field and a gorgeous lake to explore. The home falls within many popular local school catchments such as Piggott Primary and Waingels Secondary School which are both within walking distance. Twyford village and Train Station are just a 20 - 25 minute walk away which is perfect for commuters, coupled with excellent links onto the M3 and M4 via the A329. If you're looking to to get something to eat and drink then there is a huge variety of great local pubs and restaurants like the Heron on the ford which isn't too far away from the home.
