Having grown up around the area and both working in London we wanted to purchase our first home somewhere familiar with great transport links. The estate at the time represented outstanding value for a property that was in great condition and had (and continues to have) plenty of opportunity for enhancing. With the changes we made, it has been somewhere we have been able to stay for a significant period of time (15+ years) and arguably could continue to live in without space being a significant issue.
Relative to the property itself, we are fortunate to have a number of features not present on all houses, a garage adjacent to the property that we have been able to power, a walled garden giving enhanced privacy, an allocated parking space to name a few.
What we didn't know at the time was the social aspect of living on an estate and we've made some fantastic friends who we will continue to stay in touch with and will be a reason why we stay in the local area. I would also add that the local facilities (whilst changing) have been a key part of staying here and the upcoming investment only enhances that further. With a young family, selection of schools has been critically important in our decision around property location and we are fortunate to be within catchment of terrific schools from infant through to secondary and again remains a reason to stay within that catchment area.
Our decision to move has been prompted by looking to increase the bedrooms to cater for growing extended family which becomes challenging as they get older and need more space but we would highly recommend both the estate and Deepcut for anything from the great people to the fantastic schools and local facilities.

To be honest I'm a little biased to Dettingen Park as I lived here myself for several years! It's a unique development to the area with its layout, but is very quiet and has a great sense of community. This property is presented beautifully, with a lovely outlook over the green. The addition of the conservatory creates even more family space downstairs which is always much needed! I'd highly recommend getting in touch and arranging a viewing quickly!
Area Comment:
Deepcut is situated on the eastern fringe of Camberley and falls under the GU16 postcode. Dettingen Park was built in 2003 and is a unique development to the area with an attractive layout centred around The Crescent, which has a large circular green with a fountain and pond at the centre. The nearby shops are located nearby on Heatherside which will cater for day to day needs, while Camberley town centre is approximately a ten minute drive away. The M3 motorway can be reached at either junction 3 in Bagshot/Lightwater or junction 4 in Camberley, both of which are approximately a fifteen minute drive away. There are ample outside spaces nearby with the Frimley Fuel Allotments directly across the road from Dettingen Park, and the Ranges behind the development.
